Experienced living food chef Lara Ann Castle Karakasevic has served as the educational director at The Living Food Mission since establishing as a culinary wellness services provider in 2019. In this position, she oversees culinary wellness classes and regenerative detoxification cleanse retreats on the Big Island and in other locations. Lara Karakasevic strives to provide clients with concise and actionable health information, with an emphasis on supporting the body’s natural healing abilities.
In 2020, Lara Ann Castle Karakasevic accepted an invitation to serve in a leadership role with a Boys and Girls Club healthy habits program in Northern California. She gained additional leadership experience as the owner of a Napa Valley Juice Bar in St. Helena, California. She also has hospitality industry experience, including five years as the general manager of the San Remo Hotel in San Francisco.
A board-certified holistic health practitioner, Ms. Karakasevic studied living food cuisine at the Pure Joy Culinary School. She continued her education in a regenerative detoxification program with the International School of the Healing Arts. She also holds a degree in hospitality management from the University of San Francisco. Her local affiliations include the Māla’ai Culinary Garden in Kamuela.
